A quick, easy weeknight poke bowl loaded with omega-3-rich salmon, fibre, and as much heat as you like.
Why you'll love it
This spicy sushi bowl is the perfect quick and easy weeknight dinner option that will keep you full (and your wallet happy).
Star ingredient: salmon
Salmon is a high-quality protein source rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Most Western diets fall short on these essential fatty acids, which are linked to brain health, reduced inflammation and the prevention of heart disease.
Fibre and antioxidants
This bowl is packed with vegetables! Since most people don't get enough fibre, finding ways to boost it wherever possible is important — and this bowl does exactly that, helping to control appetite, regulate blood sugar and support digestive health.
Tips and variations
- No sriracha on hand? Swap it for gochujang or a dash of chilli oil.
- Prefer it milder? Halve the sriracha and skip the jalapeño.
- Swap the rice for cauliflower rice for a lower-carb version.
And the golden rule: no boring, bland meals allowed. We pack in as much flavour as possible, because healthy eating never has to be boring.

Method
- Using a sharp knife, cut the salmon into roughly 2.5 cm cubes. Place in a medium bowl.
- Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, sea salt, sriracha, ground ginger, hot honey and spring onion to the salmon. Mix well and refrigerate to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
- Divide the cooked rice between 2 serving bowls. Top each with half the salmon and drizzle with the marinade sauce.
- Divide the avocado, radishes, purple cabbage, jalapeño and cucumber between the bowls.
- If you like, serve with extra sesame seeds, spring onion and chipotle mayo.
